Pyrenean : eDexter

eDexter supplements Internet filtering by acting as a local-only web server which substitutes images stored on your system for filtered Internet content. This substitution helps to prevent browser stalls and other annoyances which sometimes appear on web pages.

eDexter is free to individuals for non-commercial use on a single machine. For more information please consult the release notes in the download package.

A server verion of eDexter, which allows LAN users to share a single copy of eDexter, is available without charge to schools and other youth-oriented social organizations. Contact Pyrenean for more details.

*Note: Organizations can achieve the same functionality as eDexter by running some other web server with a blank default web page. The dnskl functionality can also be achieved by setting up Null Zones in a corporate DNS server.
